OEA PLANS CALENDAIt The Ely chapter of the Office Education Association for the 1973-74 school year are as follows: President : Sharon Kosir Vice President : Debbie Toutloff Secretary: Patty Olson Treasurer: Liz Weir ttistorians: Debbie Zoretic Olivia Filson Parliamentarian: Gall K yllonen By Echo El3', Mn; 55731 Oct, 24, i973 The club has planned a calendar of activities including fund-raising, social events, civic projects, and vocational education. The first fund-raising project is a dance to be held on October 26 after the Ely-Aurora football game. Mrs. Geraldine Floyd, former secretary for the Trygg Land Office was the guest speaker for the month of September. She spoke on the various aspects of her career as a secretary. Nine OEA members and Mr. Byron Moren, advisor, traveled to Grand Rapids on September 26 to attend the Fall Regional OEA Conference. Sharon Kosir and Colleen Skule were elected to the Regional positions of treasurer and parliamentarian, respectively. One hundred forty-four members attended the meeting from the Regional area. The Ely OEA Club entered a float in the 1973 Fall Homecoming parade in which it earned second place. The club is off to a good start and will work diligently towards a goal of attending the National l,eadership Conference to be held in May.
